The Loose Ends
The Loose Ends are a Cape town based, fuzzed up psychedelic groove trio with a plethora of low-end riffage and spaced out guitar delivered in a shiny shoegaze package. The perfect fit to any 70's reveller looking for their next cosmic fix.
Dive deep into the swirling riffs and killer fuzz tones of another era as Joburg-based three-piece The Tazers take you on a wild journey through time and space. This psychedelic trio has undoubtedly made their mark with an everlasting record of spirited, feel-good live performances.
If their affinity for the 70's is anything to go by, Painted flowers are ready to set That 70's Fest ablaze. This 6-piece rock & roll, blues and country band have already been making waves and we can't wait to welcome them to our stage on 5th June.
Please welcome Sextape, a budding rock & roll band from the streets of Johannesburg. With their tongue-in-cheek lyrics and fast paced grooves, these newcomers set the bar as one of the top must-see acts this year. Their sound is raw and pleasantly unabashed - an assured cure to those looking for their next fix.
What's a 70's party without some vinyl on the decks? We've got you covered... You'll probably remember DJ BOB from his infamous, late night boogie Jazz Club at Oppikoppi Festival. His Funk, Soul & Jazz selections will keep us going late into the night & we're proud to welcome him to That 70's Fest.
We're proud to welcome South Africa's most audacious and raucous post-punk outfit to That 70's Fest. Guitar stabs, pounding toms and rolling bass lines feature prominently, while the vocal howls, growls and yelps convey a sense of dread, urgency and discomfort with the state of everything.
Psych rock from Pretoria? Yes it's a thing now and Double Sun are leading the charge with their experimental blues, punk and progressive style. Join them in the void at That 70's Fest.
Joburg newcomers Triiip are a 3 piece electronic rock outfit with a melting pot of influences including indie-pop, post-punk and house. When cooked together, they're simply one of the freshest sounding acts Joburg has bared witness to in a long time.
Just two average Joe’s lookin’ to have a good time. Throwing out funkadelic sonic waves straight from James Brown’s closet that will keep the boogie going all night long. A journey from Rock ’n Roll to Disco, let’s get funked up.
With a reputation for wild and aggressive live shows; we are proud to welcome Ruff Majik to That 70's Fest. Expect wild stage antics, fuzz riffs of epic proportions, and an overpowering amount of headbanging.
The man, the myth, the legend. Doctor Khumalo aka Henk v.d. Schyf started his career back in 2005, playing for shitty punk bands in Linden. He realised his drumming wasn’t up to scratch and moved his attention to promoting shows and playing records - the rest is history.
